This first aid certificate is suitable for a workplace with more employees or a higher category of risk. This 3 day (18 hour) First Aid at Work course covers all aspects of the syllabus recommended for adult first aiders in a modern working environment. Individual candidate knowledge will be assessed by ongoing assessment of your practical skills; no written question papers or end of course exams.
This certificate is valid for 3 years, which can be re-validated by a 12 hour refresher course completed prior to the expiry of the original certificate. ITC First Ltd. are the Awarding Organisation for this certificate.
Emergency First Aid at Work
Emergency First Aid at Work certificate has been developed for the more urban, lower risk situation where professional help is only minutes away. This one day 'lifesaver' course covers: scene assessment; unconscious casualties; CPR, choking and how to deal with bleeding and shock. Minor injuries not requiring immediate hospital attention will be discussed along with first aid provision in the workplace and the completion of associated paperwork and accident reporting. Students will receive a minimum of 6 hours instruction, that includes lots of ‘hands on’ practical scenarios. Assessment is by continuous assessment of your practical first aid skills, there are no written exams.
This nationally recognised qualification is valid for 3 years. ITC First Ltd. are the Awarding Organisation for this Level 2 First Aid Certificate. This certificate is fully compliant with the requirements of Ofqual and the SQA
Both the above courses can be run on dates and at a location convenient to your group. We just require a comfortable room, with a 13 amp mains socket outlet, seating and sufficient floor space to practice the incident scenarios.
